DPG Network Area

At DPG Media, we all contribute to our mission to reach and inform as many people as possible. Here at the DPG Network Area specifically, we are at the very center of our digital strategy. As such, you’ll have the opportunity to join a team whose everyday activities have a real impact on our company and perhaps even digital media as a whole. We are active in both the Netherlands and Belgium, but our home base is Antwerp.

Experienced Frontend Developer (TypeScript / JavaScript)

You’ll join the Tracking Team to help us build a modern, unified Tracking Platform from the ground up. Reliable tracking data is essential for DPG Media to truly understand our readers and viewers, continuously improve our digital products, and drive strategic decision-making across all our media brands.

To make tracking consistent across the entire company, we are building a suite of core SDKs for Android, iOS, and now Web. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team composed of mobile SDK developers and data engineers where cross-pollination of knowledge is highly valued—working together to align architectures while adapting to the nuances of each platform.

In this role, your primary stakeholders won’t be business users but your fellow developers across DPG Media. You’ll collaborate with them closely, sharing insights in Guilds and Communities of Practice (CoPs) and building tools that make their integration experience seamless.

As a member of this team, you’ll be responsible for software craftsmanship in the broad sense of the term. You’ll help define and refine solutions in close collaboration with product and tech stakeholders, develop high-performance SDKs and demo tooling, and safeguard the technical foundation of our software platforms (including robust automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure) as well as execute on full end-to-end responsibility.

Who are you?

• Your home base is Antwerp, but you don’t mind sporadically traveling to Rotterdam or Amsterdam (once per quarter on average).

• You’re comfortable interacting with a wide range of people, such as developers across various teams, product owners, analytics engineers, and marketeers

• You believe in Agile, and you understand why it matters

• You’re a good communicator when it matters

• Frontend or fullstack development and client-side architecture hold no secrets for you, and you are passionate about building clean, efficient libraries

• Modern TypeScript and JavaScript (ESNext) are your core toolkit, and you have profound knowledge of browser contexts, HTTP, web storage, and performance optimization

• Quality and testing are part of your DNA: you have solid experience with automated testing frameworks (such as Vitest, Jest, or Playwright) and believe in building testable code from day one

• You are excited about Developer Experience (DX) and enjoy creating type-safe APIs, clear documentation, and demo applications for other engineers to use

• Experience with event tracking platforms (such as Snowplow), data pipelines, or streaming technologies (AWS, Kafka, Flink) is a big plus

• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (React, Vanilla JS/HTML) to support internal consumers and build test apps is nice to have
