Cloud DevOps Security Engineer

Antwerp/hybrid - As a Cloud DevOps Security Engineer at DPG Media you will be joining our Security Area. You join a SCRUM based team, where you help in managing security technologies & providing services that help keep our intricate IT landscape cyber secure. 

The team

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our IT Security team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure and a strong foundation in IT security. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud environments while ensuring compliance with security best practices and internal security policy.

This role is perfect for a security-focused DevOps professional looking to make an impact by strengthening cloud security while enabling rapid and reliable deployments. 

You will join a team that manages and helps assure the effectiveness and performance of the IT security technologies and services. This includes helping them remain state-of-the-art by continuously re-evaluating service user’s requirements and new technology trends.

Your experience will help advise the IT community and end-users on the use of the security technologies and on how to apply security best practices.

Not only do you have the necessary technical knowledge and experience, you also possess the necessary communicative skills to support the teams and improve their security posture.

You will functionally report to the Product Owner of the SecurIT squad responsible for managing IT Security platforms and providing security advisory services (testing, auditing, advising, defining, …).

You will help in realizing the DPG Media security roadmap by processing the operational backlog followed up using scrum based methodology. You know how to interpret security reports and you can give relevant and risk-based suggestions for solving security issues in the applications.

Your key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage secure cloud infrastructure (mostly AWS)

• Advise IT DevOps teams on secure implementation and development of cloud infrastructure

• Implement CI/CD pipelines with security integration to automate deployments

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud performance, cost, and security.

• Help in managing DPG Media group-wide IT Security  security technologies & providing security related services

• Work closely with IT DevOps teams to identify and mitigate cloud vulnerabilities.

• Implement infrastructure as code (IaC)

• Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and incident response plans are in place.

• Collaborate with development teams to embed security in DevOps workflows.

• Day-to-day follow-up of the IT Security backlog using SCRUM methodology (including stand-up, planning and review meetings)

• Conveying the importance of security throughout the company

• Alignment with key stakeholders

• Represent your team and present achievements/progress on management meetings and events

Job requirements

• 5 years of experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Professional certifications in the field of Cloud Infrastructure management

• Proven expertise in cloud security, IAM, encryption, and security compliance 

• Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices security

• Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

• Experience with serverless security and API security best practices

• Proficiency in CI/CD tools

• Expertise in infrastructure as code

• Understanding of logging, monitoring, and SIEM tools

• Familiarity with zero-trust security models and best practices

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced SecDevOps environment

• Aside from Cloud Security, experience in some of these IT security domains: Network Security, Endpoint and Server protection, IAM architecture, Vulnerability management, Secure Development, Threat intelligence & threat detection & response
