What will you do?
You take ownership of the development and maintenance of our beloved Donald Duck Android App. You ensure it is scalable, reliable and high-performing to deliver an exceptional user experience. Without your contribution, users will miss the seamless, engaging interaction they expect from this iconic digital platform. You will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to maintain quality and expand functionality. This is how you make an impact:

• Design, develop and maintain the Android Donald Duck App in Kotlin using Jetpack Compose and AndroidX libraries

• Collaborate across teams to translate user needs into high-quality, testable features

• Apply TDD and unit testing methodologies; optionally UI testing using tools like Espresso or Maestro

• Implement clean architecture principles for maintainable, reusable code

• Communicate directly with stakeholders when needed and contribute to mobile roadmap discussions

What makes you the ideal candidate?
For this role, we are looking for a driven Android development professional. You are optimistic, committed, creative and pragmatic. You possess:

• At least 4 years’ experience in Android mobile development, or equivalent expertise demonstrated through conference talks, open-source contributions or key strategic roles

• Excellent knowledge of Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and AndroidX libraries such as Startup, WorkManager and RoomDB

• Experience with TDD, unit testing; bonus for UI testing and frameworks like Espresso/Maestro

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

• Ability to work independently, plan your own work, and solve complex challenges proactively
