Security Engineer Infra

What will you be doing as a Security Engineer at Independer?
We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures. Your role is pivotal in ensuring our infrastructure is protected and complies with security policies and regulations.

Your responsibilities:

• Design and implement security protocols to protect our networks and infrastructure.

• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to uncover security risks.

• Maintain incident response plans to swiftly handle security incidents and breaches.

• Investigate security breaches and suspicious activities, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Monitor security alerts, analyze events, and respond to emerging threats and cyber-attacks.

• Implement security architectures and system configurations that align with security requirements.

• Recommend enhancements to security controls to improve our overall security posture.

• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into all system and network development phases.

• Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incidents.

• Provide security training and awareness programs to employees across the organization.

What are we looking for in our new colleague?

Experience:

• Proven experience in security engineering or a related field.

• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including DORA and other financial sector regulations.

• Experience with implementing the ISO27001 framework to achieve and maintain ISO certification.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.

• Experience with security tools such as SIEM systems, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention.

• Understanding of infrastructure vulnerability assessment and penetration testing practices.

• Familiarity with the Microsoft technology stack.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration.

• Ability to translate complex security concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to haves:

• Experience in developing and delivering security training.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
