Security Engineer

Protect the digital environment of the largest media group in the Benelux

Antwerp - At DPG Media, everything revolves around innovation and the security of our platforms. To keep our systems robust and resilient, we are looking for a driven Security Engineer. You are the guardian of our digital infrastructure and take the lead in detecting, analyzing, and mitigating threats.

What will you do?

In this role, you are on the front lines of our defense and actively work on continuously improving our security posture.

• Own and continuously improve the organization’s Vulnerability Management lifecycle, including vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritization, remediation tracking, and reporting.

• Manage and optimize Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) capabilities to enhance threat detection, investigation, and response.

• Support the design, implementation, and operation of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) technologies to strengthen secure connectivity and Zero Trust initiatives.

• Monitor, analyze, and improve Network Detection and Response (NDR) capabilities to detect and investigate network-based threats.

• Contribute to the organization’s Security Awareness program by supporting initiatives that improve employees’ cybersecurity knowledge and reduce human-related risks.

• Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, Cloud, and Networking teams to implement security best practices and mitigate identified risks.

• Evaluate and implement new security technologies and contribute to the continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.

• Develop and maintain security documentation, procedures, and operational playbooks.

Who are you?

You have a keen eye for detail, understand how modern attackers think, and possess the technical expertise to stay one step ahead of them.

• 4–7+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Security Operations, or Security Engineering.

• Strong knowledge of Vulnerability Management processes and remediation workflows.

• Hands-on experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.

• Good understanding of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), Zero Trust principles, and secure remote access technologies.

• Experience with Network Detection and Response (NDR) technologies and network security monitoring.

• Familiarity with Security Awareness programs, phishing simulations, and user-focused security initiatives.

• Experience working with SIEM, threat intelligence, and incident response processes.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to prioritize risks and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
