What will you do as a Security Engineer
As a Security Engineer, you are responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures that protect our IT infrastructure and networks. You conduct vulnerability assessments, respond to incidents, and ensure that security is structurally integrated into our technology and processes. With your expertise, you strengthen the organization’s security posture and help teams work securely and compliantly. Without this role, vulnerabilities remain unresolved longer, risks are identified too late, and the likelihood of security incidents increases.

You will concretely work on:
You do this by focusing on activities such as:

  • Implementing and maintaining security measures for cloud, network, and application environments in line with industry standards and security frameworks

  • Performing vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and code reviews, analyzing risks, and coordinating remediation with responsible teams

  • Monitoring security events, investigating incidents, and performing root cause analyses to define corrective actions

  • Integrating security into the software development lifecycle, for example through SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and secrets management

  • Advising teams and stakeholders on secure design, governance, compliance, and risk-based decision-making

Team
You will of course not do this alone, but together with a group of engaged and driven colleagues. In this role, you work closely with IT, DevOps, and development teams to integrate security early in the design of infrastructure and software. You act as a subject matter expert and sparring partner for teams across the organization. You also participate in audits, architecture reviews, and risk assessments, and actively contribute to increasing security awareness within the organization through training and targeted communication.

For this role, we are looking for a Security Engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a broad perspective on risk, governance, and collaboration within an organization.

  • You design and implement security measures for cloud, network, and application environments

  • You perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses and translate findings into concrete improvements

  • You monitor security events, investigate incidents, and support teams with incident response and recovery

  • You support compliance with relevant standards and regulations such as ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, and DORA

  • You advise teams on secure development practices, architecture decisions, and strengthening the organization’s security culture
