What you will be doing
Our focus is on building high quality software which supports job seekers finding their next jobs or companies finding their new employees on our trusted websites. That’s why we have the responsibility to maintain a stable and secure web platform.

You will work together with a disciplinary team of backend and frontend developers, product owners, test engineers and architects in an Agile environment working with Scrum. We like working autonomously as much as we can, which means you help decide what the right solutions are. Your main tasks include:

  • (people) managing software developers, spread over multiple squads

  • coach, guide and support software developers to deliver quality code in a predictable manner

  • taking operational responsibility for the technical side of our web platforms

  • evaluate the processes and methodologies we use and suggest improvements

Your enthusiasm and thirst for managing the processes around the creation and maintenance of software are what gets you out of bed in the morning. You are the Technical Lead we are looking for.

For this role, we are really looking for someone who can ensure that the proper things get done, not necessarily do them yourself. Working through others is the key to this role! Also, you should be interested in industry developments and good at keeping your knowledge relevant and recent.

As a Technical Lead, you are intrinsically motivated and you thrive when given autonomy, even more so, you take charge and ownership in your work. We want you to challenge us by sharing your thoughts and with that, as a team, we will come to the right solution. You love to challenge yourself and to keep learning.

Also you:

  • know the ins and outs of working in an agile way and especially using Scrum practices

  • understand what needs to be in place in terms of process, tools and people to deliver, run and maintain high quality software

  • understand and support software development practices, like TDD, BDD, DDD, CI/CD etc.

  • understand AWS cloud technologies

  • have experience with people management and are a servant leader

  • a great advantage would be if you’ve a few years of experience with software development
