Security Product Owner

Antwerp - As a Product Owner IT Security at DPG Media you will be joining our Security Area (15 FTE). You will take up the Product Owner role in a SCRUM based team (8 FTE), where you are responsible for security technologies & services that help keep our intricate IT landscape cyber secure.

In addition to your Product Owner duties, you'll take on team leadership responsibilities such as learning & development planning, performance management & hiring of your team members.

The team

With your team you help assure the effectiveness and performance of the security technologies and services under your responsibility. This includes helping them remain state-of-the-art by continuously reevaluating service user’s requirements and new technologie trends.

With your experience you can take up the role of coach for your team members and help them advise the IT community and end-users on the use of the security technologies and on how to apply security best practices in the area’s of cloud infrastructures, on premise it components, end user systems, networks, iot, etc …

Not only do you have the necessary technical knowledge and experience, you also show adequate communicative skills to support the teams and improve their security posture. You're not afraid to assist when it comes to less technical issues either such as strategy development, proofreading technical measures in contracts etc. You will directly report to the Area Manager IT Security. You will assist the Area Manager IT Security to translate the DPG Media security roadmap to an actionable operational backlog followed up using agile/scrum based methodology.. You know how to interpret security reports and you can give relevant and risk-based suggestions for solving security issues in the applications.

Your key responsibilities

• Product owner for the DPG Media security technologies & services (Cloud, on premise and endpoint):

  • Threat protection technologies

  • Vulnerability & attack surface management

  • SIEM platform

  • Secure Web Gateway technology

  • Security assessments and reviews

  • Advisory services on security best practices and requirements

  • Threat intelligence platforms (MISP)

  • Application Security platforms SAST, DAST, Software Composition Analysis, ..

  • Security Awareness platforms

  • Penetration testing & security assessments/auditing

  • Bug bounty

• Team leader and coach responsible for learning, development, performance and hiring

• Conveying the importance of security throughout the company

• Coach the IT Security “SecurIT” squad

• Day-to-day management of the IT Security backlog using SCRUM methodology (including stand-up, planning and review meetings)

• Alignment with key stakeholders

• Represent your team and present achievements/progress on management meetings and events

• Assist and support in the Cyber Security Awareness program
