Amsterdam - As a Scrum Master for the Selectives Area you will work on team building and team spirit ensuring a strong collaboration between team members. You are the guardian of the scrum process and have a (digital) third eye for what the teams need in order to meet the sprint goals and to improve a little every day. You are an agile chameleon; facilitator, advisor, coach, you got it all and your agile mindset and skillset allow you to adapt seamlessly between all these roles. The context of our Area is dynamic, so this should energise you.


About the team

Our Selectives teams create the best user experience for our premium publishing brands: De Volkskrant, Trouw, Het Parool, De Morgen, HUMO, Margriet and Libelle. We are building and running a white-label platform for all these brands including web, mobile, tablets, and backend. In total we have 4 teams, of which 2 will be under your inspirational leadership.


What you’ll be doing

  • Facilitate the scrum rituals such as stand-ups, refinements and retrospectives

  • Help the PO’s and other area members to getting things done

  • Work continuously to improve and stimulate the self-organizing attitude of your teams

  • Make a difference by creating a positive work environment, even when the pressure is on

  • Always seek for ways to improve the area and all its members (including PO’s, Area Manager and teams)

Job requirements

Who you are

  • Must have experience as a Scrum Master, solid knowledge of Agile and Scrum

  • Born communicator who makes connections and stimulates conversation (within and between the teams, stakeholders and colleague scrum masters), you turn groups into teams

  • Positive mindset and ‘can-do’ mentality: you turn problems into solutions, and always seek for improvement

  • You can drive change and get people on board with that

  • You get energy from working in an agile, fast-paced and continuously innovating environment

  • Experience with mobile development
