Platform Engineer

The Recommendation & Search Area houses all expertise around information retrieval within DPG Media, focussing on consumer based recommendation and search. Our mission is to improve the relevance of our digital products to our customers by providing them with the content they want, whenever and wherever they want it.
 
To facilitate the team of ML and SW engineers, we have a platform team that builds an internal developer (IDP) platform to host our machine learning applications. This team combines best practices of SW and ML engineering into a platform that takes away the operational cognitive load of the application teams. Compared to operation teams, this team builds the tools so other teams can take ownership of their applications.

Responsibilities

● Build and maintain a scalable and reliable AI platform that adheres to MLOps best practices.

● Collaborate with the team to integrate ML workloads and build orchestration pipelines.

● Automate and optimize infrastructure and deployment processes.

● Design, implement, and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for the ML platform.

● Work with the data engineering and data science teams to ensure seamless integration of models into production.

● Research and implement new technologies and best practices in the ML operations domain.

Profile

● Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.

● 3+ years of experience in software engineering and system administration, preferably in an ML-related environment.

● In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS

● Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc.

● Proficiency with CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.

● Familiarity with MLOps best practices and experience in building scalable ML platforms.
