What will you be doing

  • Challenging the current setup of our three car platform brands running in AWS with the vision of bringing them into unified platform.
  • Work closely with our development teams in order to help facilitate transition to a self-steering approach.
  • Automate and optimise our infrastructure leveraging GitOps and IaaC (Infrastructure as a code - primarly with Terraform).
  • Design and deliver AWS platform infrastructure following best practices and your experience.
  • Design and deliver a robust and highly-performant CI/CD solutions

About the teams

Our teams are building on our automotive websites with the single purpose of helping millions of people every month to find their next car. We list thousands of dealers and hundreds of thousands of cars on these platforms. The teams are working in a high-performance, high-availability scenario where the emphasis is on quality rather than speed

Technologies/providers you will be exposed to include (but are not limited to):

AWS Cloud Services (we use a lot of them), Terraform / Terraform Cloud, Cloudflare, Kubernetes (running on EKS), New Relic, Prometheus, Kibana, AWS OpenSearch, Github Actions

Job requirements

Who you are

 We’re looking for a self-starter who has an own opinion on architectural alternatives. If you're eager to learn and enjoy exploring solutions to enable our teams to accelerate, you're the right engineer! Also you:

  • have experience with most of our technologies/providers, experience with Kubernetes is important.
  • are patient and a strong team player.
  • know your way around Linux systems (terminal does not scare you).
  • have experience with GitOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
  • have experience with Infrastructure as Code.
  • have an understanding of Cloud Delivery Network along with securing application with WAF (Web Application Firewall).
